| On November 4, 2011 American Legion Post #223 in Sykesville Maryland held a Book Signing featuring Veteran and Local Author Bill Hall. During the evening, Mr. Hall read passages from his new book They Gave Blood, Sweat and Tears which chronicles the stories of 50 Veterans from World War II to Operation Iraqi Freedom. One of the passages was the opening paragraph to the chapter which tells the story of WWII Combat Veteran and American Legion Post #223 Member, Walter "Pops" Gray. |
